ERIN BACON'S WORKS

ERIN BACON'S WORKS

Eastbourne Youth Radio's 2018 Friday breakfast show, providing the soundtrack for your Friday morning whilst setting you up for the weekend!

In my first year of college, I made a film review podcast for my final project which consisted of all the upcoming film news and my thoughts of all the current releases!

Eastbourne MP Stephen Lloyd hosted a Question Time style radio show in which he asked a panel of young people (myself included) about their thoughts on the current political affairs.

I presented (and also produced) 2018's Eastbourne Youth Radio Launch Mix, beginning the 3 day continuous broadcast.

For my second year final project at college, I decided to combine my love of films, radio and journalism to produce a Radio Documentary regarding the life and career of Actress and Activist, Jane Fonda.

We made a Radio Documentary regarding the rising levels of support for far-right politics, specifically across Europe and among young people. (Featuring an exclusive interview with Cabinet Minister Lord Hain)

During my second year of studying Creative Media Production, I took the role of Editor-in-Chief for the student-run magazine, Tag '19. On top of being the senior editor, I also wrote two of my own articles for the magazine, one regarding gender equality in the film industry (p7) and the other regarding the rejuvenation of Independent Cinema (p32). The principal of the college went on to call it the "best edition of Tag Magazine that the college had ever produced" in the 20 years since it has been runningWe also got an exclusive cover interview with breakthrough singer-songwriter Dodie.
